Dear Readers~      Welcome to today's coverage of TCU (Texas Christian University) taking on USC (University of Southern California) that took place on Tuesday, March 18th. The tournament they played in was called the FAU (Florida Atlantic University) Beach Invitational held in Rivera Beach, Florida, just north of Palm Beach and Ft Lauderdale. Going into the game, USC was 14-3 while TCU was 11-3. After coming off of wins against Florida Gulf Coast, Stetson, Florida Atlantic, and Georgia State, that pushes USC's win streak to an impressive 6 in a row since their last loss to Berkeley (University of California, Berkeley) on March 7th. For TCU, they beat Stetson, Tampa, Georgia State, and FAU to add to their impressive win streak of 8 in a row since their last loss against none other than USC itself on February 22nd in Hawaii for the first tournament of the year when USC was ranked #1 and TCU was ranked #2. Will TCU redeem themselves and beat USC or will USC be the first sch...

For this tournament, both teams had 4 games to play in. The first one for LMU was against LSU (Louisiana State University), where they won 5-0 while Texas played their first game against #1 UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles), where they lost 1-4. Going into this game, Texas had a record of 11-3 while LMU had a record of 14-1 so far in this 2025 season.        For those who don't know, NCAA and Professional Beach Volleyball have the winner determined ...

Dear Readers~     Welcome to the latest blog covering NCAA Division 1 Beach Volleyball. Last time I covered the matchup between Arizona State and GCU that took place in Tucson, Arizona at the Cactus Classic but this time I'll be covering the matchup between Florida State and TCU (Texas Christian University) as TCU hosts the TCU Invitational in Fort Worth, Texas. This matchup between Florida State and TCU took place on Friday, March 7th in the previously mentioned town of Fort Worth.      The way the NCAA has their beach volleyball games is by having each school compete against each other using their top 5 pairs numbered 1 through 5 based on how that pair is ranked on their team. The number your pair is at your school tells you the pair number you'll play against from your opponent's school. Like the pros, the first two sets play first team to 21 while the third set plays first to 15. Both sets (all three if applicable) require a 2-point advantage in order ...

For those who don't know, the previous blog covered the matchup between USC and UCLA at the Outrigger Duke Kahanamoku Beach Classic that took place in Honolulu, Hawaii towards the end of February. I did include some special information at the end of that blog for those who don't know the coaching staff of USC or UCLA. For those who don't know, Arizona State is in Tempe, Arizona while GCU is in Phoenix, Arizona. Tempe is 113 miles while Phoenix is 123 miles from Tucson respectively, even though Tempe is part of the Phoenix metro. Now with the geography lesson complete, let's get into the beach volleyball match up between Arizona State and GCU at the University of Ar...
